Summer time and daylight savings time are other terms which can be used interchangeably with daylight saving time. Daylight saving time has been proved to increase the energy costs rather than reducing the costs. The reason why DST was proposed was to save on energy usage. We have enough sources of energy hence DST should be ended.

DST increases the power bills. The DST will cut down on the cost of lighting but increase the cost of air conditioning. The extra hour of extended daylight will increase the cost of energy used in air conditioning and this is the reason by the daylight savings time should be abolished.

Jobs, billing and record keeping has been proven to be altered by daylight savings time. If you are working at night and the clock is advanced by an hour, you will lose one working hour.

Lastly, daylight saving time brings effect similar to those caused by jetlag. Once the clocks are forwarded by an hour, your body clock will not be synchronous with the clocks and this results to fatigue, insomnia, and headache.

Finally, these reasons are enough to abolish daylight saving time.
